Open Ocean is a pan whereby students pay a $US25 monthly fee to access all the courses except RYA Day Skipper and Transformational Instructor course.
When the student reaches Captain theory rank plus 25 days of logged time in their logbook the monthly fee automatically stops.
A student can stop the monthly fee anytime by pushing a button (no calling customer service) and they keep the courses they have passed forever.
Students are only eligible for open ocean if they have not purchased any courses in the first 6 months after sign up.
