Once all the requirements are met for the SLC, the SLC license is issued instantly and can be downloaded from your resume page. We recommend that you print it out on resume paper to present to Charter Companies and Port Authorities.
To get preauthorized to qualify for a charter you can download the PDF and email to a charter company. But you should plan on taking the hard copy with you as the charter company will need to take the license to the port authority office once you are there.
