To skipper a sailboat on a bareboat charter you don't necessarily need a certification, you must have a sailing resume that demonstrates your competence with sufficient knowledge, skills, and experience.

To gain the NauticEd Bareboat Charter Master Certification, you will have listed 50 qualifying days of sailing experience in your electronic logbook and passed the NauticEd Bareboat charter master bundle of courses online. You can optionally elect to have an assessment of your skills which gives you a verified mark of competence on your Sailing resume.

Thus the NauticEd Bareboat certification is as a result of your qualifying resume - this guarantees your acceptance. With other certifying companies, they often issue a certification when the resume is not strong enough to be qualified  to skipper the boat on a sailing vacation. Case in point - many offer a zero-to-hero program - but 7 days of training is NOT enough experience to be qualified. Be aware!
