How to check if my affiliate link works to detect a signup from my site Print

You can test if your link to NauticEd with the “?school=…” or "?affiliate=...? or "?instructor=..." parameter inserted into the link properly detects someone clicking through to NauticEd from your site. Follow this procedure exactly:

(1)Clear your cookies. In Chrome, click on Chrome then Clear Browsing Data then clear cookies.

(2) Once you have cleared your cookies, click on the link you set up on your site that links to NauticEd (the one with ?school=(yourschoolname)).

(3) Now click this link – https://www.nauticed.org/school/check_detection and you will see that we have detected that your computer (and anyone clicking on your link) is associated to your school.
