If you need a sailing or boating certification for the Bahamas to charter a yacht, NauticEd can help you.

Simply gain the NauticEd Bareboat Charter Master Certification for Sailing or Power. NauticEd (Short for Nautical Education) is the US Coast Guard recognized Sailing and Boating education company.

SAIL:

To gain the NauticEd Bareboat Charter Master Certification for sailing, simply log your previous sailing experience in your NauticEd online logbook and take the Bareboat Charter Master Bundle of Courses Online. Assuming you have more than 50 days of sailing experience, 25 of which is on a sailboat greater than 28 feet and 25 of which was as master of the sailing vessel then you have meet the previous experience requirement.

POWERBOAT:

To gain the NauticEd Bareboat Charter Master Certification for Powerboats, simply log your previous boating experience in your NauticEd online logbook and take the following courses:

• Skipper Large Powerboat
• Coastal Navigation
• Electronic Navigation
• Bareboat Charter 

Assuming you have more than 50 days of boating experience, 25 of which is on a boat greater than 28 feet and 25 of which was as master of a vessel then you have met the previous experience requirement.

GET CERTIFIED WITH LESS EXPERIENCE: If you do not have the required experience but are close, you can gain the certification by successfully passing an assessment of your sailing skills with one of our American National Standards Instructors - see our instructor map. Passing an assessment will allow you to gain the Bareboat Charter Master Certification with 40 days or previous experience/ 20 as Master of the Vessel and 20 on a vessel greater than 28 feet.
